Matisyahu performs at The Paramount Theatre, Asbury Park, NJ | NJ Performance \ Music \ Rock Photographer

  Matisyahu put on an intimate performance last night at The Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park, NJ. His acoustic set fostered the perfect way to celebrate Valentines Day, in my opinion. It isn’t about flowers and candy to me – rather, doing what I love. And we all know how enthusiastic I am to capture the emotion of great musicians. Here’s how I saw it – enjoy!   Share → Tweet

Nas Album Release | Life is Good | MLB Fan Cave, NY, NY | July 18, 2012 | NY NJ Music Photographer

Nas hit the super intimate stage at MLB Fan Cave tonight as the crowd chanted his name. My fellow photographers and I stood by while he performed his first song – fans and photogs were only allowed to use iPhones for song #1 – so I shot a video with mine and enjoyed. “Life is good – just by waking up every morning…” he said with a smile just before I started photographing him. It is always an honor to be so up close and personal to these artists –... Read The Rest →

Kristen Driscoll Photography : Resident Rock Photographer at The Gallery 13

See that open space, to the right on that beautiful brick wall at The Gallery 13? That is where I will be displaying my Asbury Park ROCK Photography from now on. I officially become The Gallery 13’s resident Rock Photographer on April 1, 2012. No joke ;D Haha!   I have so many plans for this space. My fellow gallery residents have given me permission to hold shows (meaning music performances) at The Gallery 13 the second week of each month.   My plan for the 9 foot wide, super... The Phenomenal Deseree Spinks performs at THE SAINT { NJ Rock Photographer }

Date: March 5, 2012. I can’t get enough of Deseree Spinks. She’s an exciting mixture of funky rock ‘n roll soul. Last night this amazing vocalist played at The Saint, one of Asbury Park, NJ’s hotspots. She sang some amazing originals, including  Fast Train, Love Game, Come and Get It, Nobody and Alibi along with some amazing covers such as Treat Me Right and Mama Don’t Like My Man. Everyone in the room shouted encore before she was about to walk off the stage, so she satisfied them with a... Read The Rest →

Light of Day – The Paramount – Featuring Bruce Springsteen { NJ Rock Photographer }

The Light of Day Festival this year was a wonderful experience.  A five day festival to benefit Parkionson’s Disease, founded by Bob Benjamin, L.O.D. started on Wed 1-11-12 and ended on Sunday 1-15-12 this year. I photographed atleast one, sometimes two shows a day. Below are some previews from The Main Event, at the Paramount Theater, where Bruce made a special appearance and played for over an hour. Great night. Great week.  Enjoy two of my favorite photos from that evening. Share → Tweet

Gerald Edward Side A / Side B Douple EP Release Show { NJ Promotional Photographer }

Gerald is awesome. One of my favorite clients by far. I always ask my musician clients to bring an instrument to play for me in an obscure place. Gerald played his mandolin and guitar for me while singing some of my favorite songs of his. This was my favorite promotional session. I think I called him “Son of McCartney” at least twice.. we had a blast! It took place almost a year ago, and G.E. chose to slowly leak his photos out (smart man!), which is why I haven’t posted...
